Other cannabinoids

Cannabinoids are chemical compounds found in the hemp plant (Cannabis sativa). There are over 100 different cannabinoids, but the most popular are delta-9-tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) and cannabidiol (CBD).

What is CBN?

CBN stands for cannabinnol, a naturally occurring cannabinoid in cannabis. It is also called the “sleepy” cannabinoid because of its ability to improve sleep quality. CBN is formed through the oxidation process of THC and is found in small amounts in fresh cannabis. It is less psychoactive than THC and is often used in cannabis products intended to help improve sleep.

CBN has a number of potential effects that are not currently fully understood and require further research. Some of the reported effects of CBN are:

  • Sedative effects: CBN can have a calming and relaxing effect, which could make it a possible remedy for sleep disorders.

  • Pain relief: CBN can have an anti-inflammatory effect and relieve pain.

  • Appetite stimulation: CBN can stimulate appetite and contribute to weight gain.

  • Anti-spasmodic effect: CBN can have an antispasmodic effect and relieve muscle spasms.

What is CBG?

CBG (cannabigerol) is an important component of cannabis that develops primarily in the early stages of the plant's growth. It is a precursor to THC, CBD and other cannabinoids and has a number of possible health benefits. CBG has been shown to have anti-inflammatory effects and may also be helpful in treating pain, anxiety, and other health problems. However, it has not yet been adequately studied and further studies are needed to understand the full effects of CBG on the human body.

What is CDR?

THC-Free Crystal Resistant Distillate is a type of cannabis extract produced through the use of distillation technologies. It does not contain THC (tetrahydrocannabinol),  but is rich in CBD (cannabidiol), and has components of (CBC, CBG, CBN, CBDv, CBT) making it a full spectrum distillate and therefore known for its possible health benefits. It is also called “Crystal Resistant” because it has higher stability and is less prone to crystal formation than other types of CBD extracts.
